Nicholas Kalynych, DNP, MSHS, CRNA, APRN is the founding partner / Chief Executive Officer of Sunbelt Anesthesia Services, LLC. SAS provides comprehensive anesthesia services and management solutions to any size practice, featuring cosmetic office-based and multispecialty ambulatory surgery centers.

Dr. Kalynych received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Point Loma Nazarene College, San Diego California in 1985 and obtained his Master’s Degree in Health Sciences from George Washington University, Washington D.C. in 1993. He is licensed in the state of Florida as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of North Florida, Jacksonville Florida in 2016.

Dr. Kalynych has been a registered nurse since 1985 and was awarded the “Top Nurse of Charleston Naval Hospital” in 1988 and the “Top 100 Nurses Award” for Jacksonville in 2005. He has held numerous executive level and administrative roles during his career, including Director of Peri-Operative Services for UF & Shands. He has held previous academic appointments including those with the University of Alabama, Birmingham, Florida International University and the Uniform Services Health Sciences Programs. He is currently clinical faculty and clinical coordinator for SRNA Program at the University of North Florida. He has selflessly administered hundreds of anesthetics for underprivileged children across the world for the surgical repair of cleft lip and palate during the nine humanitarian missions with Operation Smile, International.

Dr. Kalynych also proudly served our country in the United States Navy for 23 years of dedicated service. He engaged in numerous humanitarian missions, various operational and isolated independent overseas commands and service during combat in support of Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Gulf War and Iraqi Freedom. He retired at the rank of Lieutenant Commander December 2001.

His priority for Sunbelt Anesthesia Services is the coordination and delivery of high quality anesthesia services being provided to each one of our clients and their patient’s entrusted to our care every day.
